Very poignant post, Natalya. While wine can certainly be an aspirational and elegant product, I think there is also room for the tetra paks and screw caps of the lot. People enjoy being part of the club and opening a special bottle with elegant stemware but that does not preclude it from being convenient for every day enjoyment as well. I'm all for getting more Americans to appreciate wine, in any shape or form.

Thanks, Erika! Wine is versatile and can be many things to many people. Like coffee. Sanka doesn't impede Starbucks. Speaking of tetra paks and screw caps... I like the way Three Thieves is packaging and marketing their wine http://www.threethieves.com/home.html. They've created a distinct story portraying wine bandits "on the run from the pretentious wine drinking community." I haven't tried the wine, but I'm adding it to my wishlist!
