I would suggest making the default screen only the important stuff, perhaps just messages. Since lots of my friends are befriending others, my messages sometimes appear at the bottom of the list. Does anyone gog out and buy the recommended wines. I ask because being in the trade, I don't really see a use for this. But I know an average wine consumer might. Therefore if anyone has bought based on a logarithmic wine recommendation, what it a good recommendation? Do we have any evidence that the formulas produce useful results? Thoughts? I do think that the GrapeVine, which marks the beginning of social recommendations, will have a much stronger effect. Being able to easily see which wines your friends have rated highly had a strong influence on how I shop for example...
