Wine Century
posted by philip in Snooth
Just got back after another red-eye from Napa - we’ll post some good trip reports in the next few days, in the meantime as I catch up on sleep and email take a look at this: the Wine Century Club
Its a simple idea thats devilishly hard to achieve; you just need to try 100 grape varieties to qualify. Very few people can even name 100, its not trivial.
Take a look and see how you fare…
I’ve written about the Wine Century club a few times (http://www.snooth.com/talk/topic/wine-century-annual-dinner-1/), we even have a few members on the site and here at Snooth HQ, but, I just noticed that they introduced a new uber-exclsuive tier, their Doppel Century holders.
You have to have tried over 200 varietals to join. I think there may be just 1 member at the moment.

I’d have to go check, but I think i’m in / around 125 at the moment, so would have to camp out in a few Swiss and Portuguese villages to push my total up.
I’m at about 118, I think there may be some members of the forum getting close, though. I think Greece would help me catch up to you.
You are headed there, or that was just a general comment?
I’m at 75 after this weekend in Napoli.
